The company is a prominent market leader for the development of mid- and luxury market real estate projects. It holds a sizeable land bank and which continues to grow such are the long-term aspirations to be the clear developer of choice’. Its portfolio consists of residential and mixed-use assets located across many Yangon locations as well as a number of additional prospects across Myanmar. The firm has a strong record of appointing experienced, senior-level, expatriate and repatriate management within its key business clusters with the objective of raising performance to international standards. This similarly includes an immediate need to appoint an experienced Real Estate Marketing Director. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a long-term role within a fast-expanding market and a very progressive company.
The Marketing Director will develop appropriate strategies whilst overseeing successful execution to ensure that company objectives are met in relation to product development, positioning, financial success and the creation of a sustainable long-term reputation to attract investors/partners, resident home-buyers as well as commercial tenants. The appointed individual will act as the critical bridge between the development team and the market whilst providing necessary guidance and direction to the sales team. In particular, the role will involve direct interface with the Development team to define critical design elements that will be attractive to the customer target audience and market research to understand trends whilst monitoring competitors to ensure product differentiation is achieved. Whilst the role is a ‘corporate’, strategic position a significant thrust will also gravitate towards creative marketing and leading the marketing team through sustained, major planned expansion; there will be significant responsibility for driving marketing collateral, the development of media promotions and community events, branding and profile-raising of the company and its real estate product and the crafting of a winning, integrated marketing strategy.
Interested candidates must possess a Degree Marketing and, ideally, at least 15-20+ years’ senior-level international marketing management experience complete with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position. Prior real estate marketing experience, gained within a well-known first-tier developer and with exposure to the China market, is preferred, however, the company is open to candidates who offer broad corporate and creative marketing experience from other industry sectors too. The successful individual will demonstrate sound strategic judgment beside an ability to oversee successful execution. Interested candidates must instill confidence and trust with key stakeholders that will include its development, sales, business development, finance and Executive Management teams. Additionally, candidates should have a strong command of English whilst additional linguistic ability would be a bonus. The company is keen to evaluate repatriate Burmese and expatriate candidates.
