JOB DESCRIPTION
Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Diploma
Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English. Conversational proficiency in other local languages is an advantage.
Minimum 8 years relevant working experience in business development, sales & marketing, event management and community/social work.
At least 8 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.


Technical skills and competencies
Marketing – Knowledge of branding and products/services and how it influences the society.
Administration and Management — Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources
modelling, leadership technique, production methods and coordination of people and resources.
Corporate Communications — Managing communication for external stakeholders/ funders/audiences/partner organisations.
Negotiation and conflict resolution – Negotiate with the public, help MAC to understand the opinions of a particular public, use conflict resolution in dealing with the
public.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Fundraising
Strategic development - Develop and deliver a comprehensive and coherent fundraising strategy for the organisation regardless through approval by the Board for
fundraising events, fundraising campaign, crowdfunding donation activities, etc. in achieving the targeted budgeted annual unrestricted income.
Manage the fundraising team, including volunteers and Fundraising Committee, to ensure the smooth running of the Fundraising programme and activities.
Identify potential donors and secure, cultivate and survey the current market based on the changing economic situation on a quarterly basis.
Develop and improve the effectiveness of overseeing the organisation-wide monitoring and coordination of fundraising and reporting.
Help improve programme team’s fundraising skills, capacities and systems.
Writing proposals for all upcoming fundraising events and campaigns.
Managing strong strategic relationship with existing and potential funders/stakeholders.
Develop and strengthen existing donor relationships, ensuring that the organisation maintains effective communications and good relations with our donor partners,
ensuring they are updated on MAF work and achievements.
Work closely with Media & Communications Manager to increase MAF profile, brand and enhance our reputation within the donor community.
Take the lead in organising fundraising events major capital campaigns and events organized by MAF
Keep the management and Board up to date on changing donor priorities and ensure that new funding opportunities are identified and shared with teams in a timely
manner.
Travel as required.

Administration
Be responsible for the fundraising budget i.e. to achieve the projection income and monitor budgeted expenses.
Supervise the general administration and operations of the MAF, including efficient management of all data and information, filing, faxing, photocopying, and
correspondence & receipt for donors on a timely manner.
Assist in preparations for Meetings of Board of Trustees, including preparation of meeting documents, follow-up with Trustees regarding attendance as well as
logistic preparation of the Meetings.
Maintain and update all MAF materials such as Trust Deed and BOT portfolio. Follow-up on office administrative matters. Tracking and issuance of the tax
exemption receipt & official receipts to corporate/individual donors.
Keep the fundraising programme and activities updated in MAF and MAC website/social media.
Participate in internal meetings and communications.
Represent MAF at meetings with donors, corporate partners and external events.
